Patrik Hansson (born in 1975) lives in Uppsala, where he works as a graphic designer and furniture designer in his own company, Phorm. “I am more or less self-taught in both disciplines,” he says. “It’s a mix that suits me fine. I’m fascinated by the way graphic design inspires furniture design.” Patrik created the Stow storage series after pondering the question of how to use a remote control to operate electronic equipment in the living room without constantly having to open cabinet doors. He solved the problem by designing a bold, generously proportioned handle with hidden grooves. This enables the use of a remote control when it would otherwise seem impossible. Karl Andersson & Söner first started to produce Stow in (2009), clothes hanger Knob (2010) and chest of drawers May (2013).
